Tokyo Skytree, the world's tallest observation tower at a height of 634 meters, is one of the most popular tourist spots in Tokyo today. It stands tall in the middle of Tokyo Skytree Town®, a giant shopping and entertainment center.

Senso-ji Temple is known as Asakusa Kan'non. The statue of Kan'non Bosatsu, the Bodhisattva of compassion, is housed in the altar located at the center of the inner sanctuary of the main hall. You can pay a visit during the day when the main hall is open.

Kappabashi Dogu Street is a shopping street, where you can find pots, plates, cooking utensils, and fun plastic food samples often seen at the entrance of restaurants in Japan. Kappabashi Dogu Street is very popular because it has a wide variety of high quality products.

The name Akihabara is now world famous. More than 250 electrical appliance and electronic shops of all sizes are located in a small area. The shop assistants have a wealth of knowledge and are able to answer all sorts of questions. Many of them speak English.

The Imperial Palace is in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, and contains the Gosho residence of the Emperor and Empress, and the Kyuden main palace for various events. It is the former Edo castle. The castle was designated as the Imperial Palace in 1868, making Tokyo the location of the palace in place of Kyoto, the location of the palace for more than 1,000 years.

Asakusa Shrine is loved and called "Sanja-sama (shrine of the three gods)." It is dedicated to and nicknamed after the three men who founded the Senso-ji Temple, Haji-no-Matsuchi, Hinokuma-no-Hamanari, and his brother, Hinokuma-no-Takenari.

Asakusa Engei Hall is well-known to offer fun performances such as rakugo, (classic Japanese art of storytelling), manzai, (Japanese-style double act stand-up comedy), and impersonation. A lot of star comedians have been born at the hall. It has two shows daily at 11:00 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. You can stay and see the both shows with one ticket if you want!

Funayado Tsurishin offers a roofed pleasure boat cruise departing from its dock by the Umayabashi Bridge. Enjoy delicious seasonal Japanese dishes such as popular monkfish hot pot in winter during the cruise.
